I could have sworn I already reviewed the Vorpal Almanac... my apologies, if there are two of these from me.

I adore this book. It's imagination fodder for any GM who wants to reward their players with magic swords that are far more than stat sticks. The blades in this volume have rich histories, even sentience and personality -- you might need to win over your blade, or prove to it that you're adequately righteous, before it allows you to wield it (and do anything but miss your targets). Finally, some truly legendary swords that live up to the fantasy!

My only complaint is that the gold foil version of the cover, the one I got, obscures some of the finer details of the graphic. The image looks much better and more cleanly articulated on the standard version of the book, and I really wish this wasn't the case.

Great product, great vendor. Shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition.

Really enjoying this little book

I'm a big enjoyer of legendary swords, loot rewards that justify the risk of going into a deadly dungeon and poking around. Stat sticks never quite feel worth it. The Vorpal Almanac scratches that itch for interesting, unique weapons with rich history and legends attached to them. So many of the swords it features spark my imagination -- sentient swords with personalities or even voices, a sword that won't strike its intended targets if the wielder doesn't live up to its notion of justice, etc. Just really fertile ideas that liven up a campaign, introducing a whole new element (or even companion!) to the game.
