I had been looking for a solution to store all my mork borg bits and this is perfect and looks nice on my shelf
The handmade nature of the things I get from Max Moon Games are always a joy to hold and use. They never feel cheap or mass produced, It's one of the things that always keeps me coming back.
Had been waiting on this to come back into print for ages then the 3rd edition reprinting came up for preorder. Was super pleased to snag a copy of this, already had the pdfs but nothing beats a physical zine!
Beautifully presented as ever with Max’s stuff (had picked up all the 12 years stuff between preordering SD and delivery).
Box is good and sturdy, satisfying magnetic clasp, holds more than what comes in it (my mork borg original and feretory live in there with room to spare for a few more zines). Looks like a mighty time on the shelf with its artisan gold lettering on the spine.
I’m a sucker for a good natural uncoated paper stock, it’s just the feel of pure nostalgia. The zines are choicely embellished with coloured staples, foiling and crisp covers.
Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, Max Moon is the bench mark for master crafted and curated zine content. I’ve yet to find anyone else doing this to the same level of care and quality.
And as for the contents of the zines 1d10+5 absolutely smashed it, there are literally years worth of solo gaming content in here that I am ravenous to get into. Readability is fantastic, which is always a concern with MB content. Still feels very MB with losing anything for it. Cracking illustrations too!
Worth every single penny and more so than I anticipated it was when I preordered.
Oh can’t forget the free stickers as well!
I've been wanting printed versions of Solitary Defilement for a while and was really excited to see Max Moon's version come available. The box art is beautiful and looks great on my shelf and the quality of the zines all feel great in hand. The box even has some extra room if you wanna throw your Mork Borg book in there or some extra zines like Solitary Depths. Very happy with my purchase!
I bought it from Max Moon and honestly don’t think it’s worth the price. The box feels cheap — from the flimsy material to the paint that looks like it could easily get scratched. The box itself is thin and bends easily; for comparison, it’s about as thin as the D&D 5e Starter Set box, not sturdy like the PF2e Starter Box. The printing of the zine isn’t terrible, but it feels low-quality due to the porous paper. I’d rate the zine’s quality a 3, maybe a 4.
