BX inspired Occult Horror at its best!

This is what I was hoping LotFP would eventually get around to releasing. Modules rooted in historical events but without all the schmutz. Any LotFP fan will absolutely LOVE this!

Absolutely beautiful set, can't believe this didn't get more attention from the community on release. It's a real shame. This game setting and system constitute a love letter to the OSR if I've ever seen one. If relatively low-fantasy settings appeal to you (or even if they don't), this one is 100% worth checking out -- it's my favorite RPG purchase in a while!

Darker than Shadowdark, just as metal as Mork Borg

Familiar Bx bones with some great modern mechanics. The setting is an awesome dark, gritty, medieval Scotland. Unique art style really pulls you in. The layout is fantastic and so is the build quality of the books and slipcase. Outcasts has really grown on me and I wish I found it sooner.

Exceptional!

The content in the Mythic North supplement is exceptional and worth the cost of the boxed set alone. As an OSR system, it is also very good and ALMOST good enough to get me to switch from OSE (but not quite). Writing and art are TOP NOTCH.

Brilliant, Metal, and Incredibly Useable

It's great, it's evocative, and it's so useful at the table. I don't think I've read anything quite like it. And I want the GM screen real bad!
