An excellent entry point for new players!

Quite apart from all the other excellences in this book, including layout, clarity of prose, and narrow focus: this volume is the perfect size to make new players feel that their part in the game is manageable. I have been gifting these to the novices in my games, and found that this book is especially helpful for those folks who show up worried about “all those rules.” Books like this help keep the players (and the game) focused on fast-moving role-play.
